Setting the Balloon Free

How often did we apologize for our own failings, for our shortcomings? We know full-well that we are the bad ass, we stifled people, pushed them to the fore but more often than not we found ways to put the blame on them. We felt glorious doing that, but hey I saw a sad face looking in the mirror when the day ends, why is that? Suddenly all questions roll over, the anxiety comes creeping back.

Sometimes we hate people so much that we can no longer recognize ourselves. We claim ‘I am okay,’ but deep down the noise is disturbing, and it keeps building.

If only we can learn to forgive and forget. If only we realize that hatred and sadness can be filled in a balloon, which can later be set free. And it will fly away. Racing across the ocean, up over the mountain and pacing the green meadow with the bright sunny sky as the background. And there is no greater satisfaction than watching that. The sad face in the mirror will no longer be there, and that noise inside will slowly die away.
