I experienced a rare twist of feeling within the space of 36 hours as a sports fan today. First, my darling Liverpool is through to the final stage of the much-coveted European Champions League by courtesy of the nail-biting penalty shootouts win over the mourning Mourinho’s Chelsea. 36 hours later, it was heartbreak; the Los Angeles Lakers is dumped out of the NBA Playoffs after battling their heart out in five scorching showdowns with the Phoenix Suns. But I guess at the moment, I am ruling out any chance of mourning over the somber note like Jose Mourinho of Chelsea always did. Let’s talk about winning.
They say it is merely a matter of luck. Penalties? It’s everyone’s game my friend. But luck it was, Liverpool is now delightfully breathing in the lavish air of qualifying for the second European Cup final in a space of three years. Luck must love the Kop I guess. Now we are cruising for a repeat epic final against the side that trounced us apart in the first half of last two years’ final- albeit in the end that hapless side was the one to cry losing- and possibly yet another win to add to Anfield’s already-crowded trophy shelves. Athens, here the Scousers come.“Because even defeat wouldn't obscure the good things in place at Liverpool right now”
The sheer brilliance of Rafa Benitez is so easily excluded to be disputed, mixing well with the passion of the players that never tired to demonstrate the kind of zealous play that they always believe would win the game, and the magic of the Kop is without doubt, the greatest gift of all. Their rendering of spirit, You’ll Never Walk Alone, filled the humid night air recurrently as if it were the only rhythmic noise known by the mankind on earth.
I believe I was not the only man wishing to be immediately transported to the magical world of Anfield last night to experience the beautiful spirit of the team.
Kudos to my darling Liverpool, but always keep yourself reminded that the job is not yet done. Athens reunion does not also mean a certain win; fight like you always did to get hold of it will you?
"Walk on through the wind
Tho’ your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone"

tak tau macam mana nak respond to this because what i learned is never to kutuk liverpool infront of them or in their blogs.
all i can say is'you'll never walk alone' is a nice song.
and with milan in the finals, beating the soon to be champ of epl, that dream might end just there.
no offence!
No matter how fanatic a person is as a supporter, I always believe that he/she should stick to the principle of respecting others, and always realize that they're merely the game's loyal supporter, nothing else. I mean, if our team wins then that's good enough. But if it's the other way round, accept the defeat with dignity, give credits to the opponent. There's no point taunting the losing opponents, or finding excuses for losing or even worse couldn't accept one. After all we are only supporters; we get nothing if the team wins apart from satisfaction. Heck, the players don't even know us. Plain silly la gaduh2 ni..
By the way Afifah, do you take it when people ask you to stop dreaming? We were three goals down at halftime in 2005 against the same team- and that was without the likes of Reina, Agger, Mascherano, Kuyt, Crouch, etc. in the lineups-, did we ever stop dreaming? The win says it all I guess. Loud and clear. I wouldn't say we're sure we're going to win again this time, but all I know is it's never sinful to keep a dream..
did u know that jordin sparks dang that song during a couple of weeks ago during american idol?oh yay, vote for jordin.
there's nothing much i can comment about the football thing.Not a fan,tehee~

'tak tau macam mana nak respond to this because what i learned is never to kutuk liverpool infront of them or in their blogs.'
i meant it to be a joke but i guess im not really good in expressing what i intent to mean thus being interpreted as what i assume u got based on ur feedback. again, im really sorry for writing a comment in a way that makes u think i want to 'gaduh2' when that's not my intention.
and for that I'M REALLY SORRY.
and im not gonna delete the comment above as to remind me that i need to improve on my writing.
p/s: jordin sparks did the song proud.

Eh, relax. No offence taken in. Perhaps I'm the one who've gone too far. The comment wasn't intended for anyone in particular, I merely wrote what I was thinking, from what I myself experienced.
Yeah, seems that both of us have problems in expressing what we intend to mean and we need a lot of work on it. We'll keep reminding each other can we?
Cheers~
that's the spirit..wining or losing is not the main factor (well of course everyone wants their team to win)..what we can only do is just cheer, support and hope for the best...
Let the egg A114 rephrase dat...
